Where were we? Ah yes: redwoods.

We also got to see deer, but those didn't show up very well on my camera -- their camoflage was too effective, I guess. There were fawns with the spots still on, and they were utterly fearless.

You didn't think we'd leave without the pictures inside the redwood, did you? They're a bit cliched, but for a reason: the human scale is useful for showing the immensity of the trees.

Ahhhh.

But it was not all peace and redwood trees. Oh, no: there was much more cooking and laughing to be done, at the (drum roll, please) picnic. (Maybe I should wait to write the rest of these until I'm less tired. Hmmmm.)
