In Which Our Heroine Listens to Terry Pratchett

24 June 2004

Look, I really didn't mean to read A Hat Full of Sky this morning. Sometimes these things happen accidentally. Sort of like banging your shins, but with books. Falling open in your lap. You know how it is. "If you don't know when to be a human being, you don't know when to be a witch," says this book, and it's true of writers, too.

I've been being a human being an awfully lot lately. I'm going to spend more human being time today, too. I've been to lunch with my grands. I'm going to have some ice cream with C.J. Mark and I are going to "The Pirates of Penzance" tonight.

And tomorrow, I think it's time for the big long entry I've been promising, or maybe for some pictures, or maybe both. But today, it's time to be a writer, too, and I have a few things to poke at before I get back to my human being stuff. Two books to poke at, in fact. One of them nearly done and one of them just starting. Sometimes good days don't mean good journal entries. This is one of those times. I'll see you tomorrow.

Back to Novel Gazing.

And the main page.

Or the last entry.

Or the next one.

Or even send me email.
