Kosara and Asen have had six months since the events of the Foul Days in the book of the same name–six months for things to get back to normal. Things…have not done that. Nor do they look likely to. Kosara is still hearing the Zmey’s voice. Asen is no longer comfortable on the mundane police force. And there are monsters…where there should not be monsters. So: normal? really no.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Giant plague-bearing cockerels, unexpected werewolves, uncertain vampires, Asen’s late wife’s kikimora, the gang’s all here. Kosara’s dozen shadows are unruly at the worst possible times.
